This past week, I went to Pure Thai Cookhouse in Hell’s Kitchen with a few of my friends. I’m not an adventurous eater, but I decided to try something new. This was the first time I had ever eaten Thai food. I still played it safe with my food. I ordered fried rice with lump crab meat and pineapple juice.
Even though it might sound weird, I was really excited when I found out that they had pineapple juice. (I’m going to go a little off topic). The first time I had pineapple juice was when I was in southern Italy for a spring break trip. I didn’t like a lot of what was served for breakfast in the hotels where I stayed. When I tried the pineapple juice, I was thankful to have something other than water with my meal. (My rant is over).
If you ever want to try new food and want to eat at a sit-down restaurant that makes their food quickly, Pure Thai Cookhouse is the place for you. Our food was ready in 15 to 20 minutes, which is pretty fast. The food is presented well, and the waitress and chef got our orders right. One thing I found interesting is that the giant bottles of water they use to pour for customers say “tap water” on the label. That was the first time I’d ever seen that. The food, the pineapple juice, and the tap water were great. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
