Sweet Everythings: Yooglers

Hello all! Apple of My Eye is back in action. Bringing you more NYC adventures!

I’ve decided to use this opportunity to introduce a new series, “Sweet Everythings.” When I’m running around the city, I don’t always have a lot of time to explore and find new things to try/places to see. When I’m on the go, I try to get food or a treat from a place I’ve never been to. I came up with this series to share the different sweet treat shops I find in NYC. So without further ado, I present to you the first blog post in the “Sweet Everythings” series!

Yooglers is a frozen yogurt shop I stumbled upon while I was roaming around the Union Square area. It’s one of two in the world. *Sigh* Sorry to break the news to you folks. The one I went to is on Broadway and the other is in Madrid, Spain. If you are in either area, I encourage you to try it! Especially if you’re a frozen yogurt fan.

Everything is self-serve, and they have 20 flavors!!! I’ve never seen so many frozen yogurt flavors at one time. They ranged from fruity and tangy to sweet and creamy.

I enjoyed the short time I had to take in the atmosphere. I’m sure Yooglers’ interior was decorated with kids in mind but is also for the kid at heart. The bright colors helped create a happy, playful vibe. I hope you get the chance to try it!

But wait! That’s not all!

Since I walked around the Flatiron District, I was able to see the Nighthawks display at the bottom of the Flatiron building. It’s one of my favorite paintings, so I was excited to see it. I took pictures of it in the daytime, so they don’t look as great as night pictures of the display. Unfortunately, the exhibit ended on October 6th. I hope this becomes a trend!

Until next time.
